Flush Transmitter Vacuum Sensor

The flush-mount pressure sensors of the PI series are used for reliable hydrostatic level measurement. Flush-mount installation in the tank or vessel wall ensures reliable cleaning and sterilisation in the process. The housing is potted, offering optimum protection against ingress of moisture and aggressive media. Thanks to a broad selection of process adapters, the sensors can be used in nearly all industrial applications.
Parameter setting is effected via the buttons on the sensor. The highly visible display, combined with a user-friendly interface, enables fast and easy set-up.

  • Continuous level and point level measurement with analog / switching output
  • Independent of conductivity and dielectrics of the medium
  • High precision ceramic measuring cell with long-term stability
  • Specially for the use in hygienic applications
  • Flush process connection with a large variety of commonly used process adapters

Description

Ceramic capacitive

The most important element of the ceramic capacitive technology is the ceramic (Al2O3) measuring cell. After assembly, the ceramic cell element resembles a plate capacitor with a reference electrode and a measuring electrode placed 0.01 mm apart. The capacitance is inversely proportional to the distance between the electrodes. As pressure is applied, the distance changes by a small value and the capacitance changes proportionately. This signal is then converted into pressure by a microprocessor.

  • Robust direct sensing measurement technology
  • Eliminates possibility of contamination from diaphragm fill fluid
  • Long-term stability of ceramic cell design does not fatigue like stainless steel
  • Internal support construction creates very high pressure ratings
  • Ceramic cell is more resistant to abrasion, dents or dings that can create measurement offsets
  • Highest overload pressure rating, especially with dynamic pressure peaks
