Apex Growth & The New Year
This year we celebrated our 15-year anniversary. Beginning with only 1 brand of valves, we have grown to represent and distribute over 70 different brands of industrial equipment. We now also offer several kinds of engineering services (such as magnet audits and steam trap audits). Apex has also grown to support 13 talented employees.
2024 was a year of chaos, growth, and strength. We added 4 new employees to our team:
- Drew Millard (Senior Technical Engineer)
- Mitch Hughes (Inside Sales)
- Zach Jordening (Outside Sales – NE, SD, IA, and Southwestern MN)
- Tim Larocque (Outside Sales – Northeastern MN, Northern WI)
We increased our offerings with 6 desirable brands:
- NLine Energy – Microsteam turbines
- Sellers Boilers – Industrial boilers and hot water heaters
- Versaflex Valve & Actuator Assembly – Fast-acting, fail-safe, quarter-turn electric actuator with low torque, Class 6 shut-off segmented control ball valve
- Burkert Fluid Control Systems – Sanitary valves, controllers, pumps, sensors, transmitters, and more
- Enerquip Thermal Solutions – Heat exchangers, condensers, heaters, and tank solutions
- Mass Flow Sourcing Andco Actuators – Electric linear actuators
And we also increased our marketing efforts by producing 4 videos:
To wrap up the end of the year and welcome in 2025, we celebrated our employees with a company party. We began the day by sharing our personal and professional goals for the new year. By sharing our goals, we each gain a boost of motivation and accountability.
Then we had the coveted gift exchange with prizes such a Blackstone, Drone, Electric Scooter, Kitchenaid Stand Mixer, Pizza Oven, and more! This was followed by the dice game – and the shedding of tears by certain people!
Afterward, we volunteered at Feed My Starving Children. FMSC is a non-profit organization whose goal is to end child hunger in body and spirit. The Apex team volunteers by packing food for hungry children worldwide. This is an employee favorite activity! It is a humbling experience where we all leave with a sense of pride.

We ended the night by competing against each other in WhirlyBall. WhirlyBall is a unique teams game that is a cross between lacrosse and bumper cars. We also had a delicious buffet and drinks from the bar. Some of us left with battle scars and vows of revenge – but it was a lot of fun!

We are grateful for our hardworking team throughout the year. But it’s always nice to take a day to celebrate them. Thank you all for your hard work! Let’s see what we can accomplish in 2025.
