Sanitary EDPM Tri-Clamp Gaskets

Sanitary EDPM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) support food and drug manufacturing by providing a safe, hygienic, and efficient environment for producing high-quality products that meet stringent regulatory standards and consumer expectations.

  • EPDM is a synthetic rubber made from the polymerization of ethylene, propylene, and a diene monomer. It contains a backbone of carbon atoms with hydrogen and some unsaturated double bonds.
  • EPDM exhibits excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, UV, and aging, making it suitable for outdoor applications. It has good electrical insulating properties and maintains its flexibility over a wide temperature range. EPDM is also resistant to water, steam, and mild acidic or alkaline environments.
  • EPDM is widely used in the automotive industry for weatherstripping, window seals, and radiator hoses due to its excellent weather and temperature resistance. It is also used in roofing, gaskets, electrical insulation, and outdoor applications that require resistance to environmental factors.
  • EPDM is generally compatible with water, steam, mild acids, and alkalis but may not be suitable for applications involving oil or hydrocarbons.
