Glycol Oil Coils

COILS TO WITHSTAND POLLUTED AIR
ANSCOR has not departed from the industry’s time proven heavy wall copper construction. Under normal conditions, standard ANSCOR coils should last 20 years. Using extra heavy tubing, copper fins and stainless steel casing, the life expectancy could be up to 40 years. Wetted coils in polluted atmosphere are subject to many unusual corrosive solutions. ANSCOR can provide coils made from materials to withstand these conditions.
CLEANABLE COIL
Removable plugs in headers and return bends – an economical solution for well water applications.
COIL PERFORMANCE FEATURES
Flat, plate type fins, less clogging, low maintenance. Available with baked-on phenolic coating for corrosive atmosphere. Positive draining coils available. Coils are air tested at 225 PSIG under water.
POSITIVE DRAINABLE COIL
ANSCOR has such a coil. Each tube is pitched to a separate drainable header, and when properly vented, all water leaves the coil by gravity flow.
REMOVABLE HEADER BOX COIL
Fabricated of various materials – used where serious plugging may be encountered from particulate depositing out of fluid. Access to all tubes for inspection and cleaning. Completely drainable. Similar coils available for brine applications.

Description

Ethylene or Propylene Glycol Heating and Cooling coils
When an application calls for an airside or liquid side temperature at or below freezing and there is the potential for the coil to freeze, glycol is the preferred secondary solution. It has good heat transfer properties; good freeze protection, and low volatility. Our engineers understand the physical properties of these solutions and their inherent limitations.
